WELCOME TO AFROTC

On behalf of the Commander, Colonel Greg Adams, we'd like to thank you for your interest in the AFROTC program and your interest in pursuing a commission in the US Air Force or US Space Force.

What is fitness in AFROTC?

Physical readiness is a fundamental part of becoming a capable and dependable Air Force officer. Maintaining a high level of fitness builds the strength, endurance, and discipline needed to perform effectively under pressure and meet the demands of military service. Regular training develops resilience and mental toughness, teaching cadets to push beyond their comfort zones and overcome challenges. Beyond individual performance, fitness fosters teamwork, accountability, and a culture of excellence within the corps.

PFRA Scoring Chart

Attached below is the official Air Force scoring chart, and the expectation while you are a cadet will be to achieve a combined score of at least a 75. During NSOP, the expectation will only be to hit the minimums in each category, as listed above. The asterisked repetition count is the minimum rep for each individual exercise on the chart. This chart includes both male and female, for all age brackets.

Exercise Minimums

Male <25 years old
- 1 min push-ups = 30
- 1 min sit-ups = 33
- 2 mile run = 19:45
Female <25 years old
- 1 min push-ups = 15
- 1 min sit-ups = 29
- 2 mile run = 25:23

NSOP Overview

New Student Orientation Program (NSOP) is a mandatory event for entry into Air Force ROTC. It is an excellent opportunity to get to know your fellow cadets in an “at-ease” environment and will be separated into 2 sessions. All events listed on the right are mandatory for all Embry Riddle Daytona students. If you have any questions or concerns, please call (386) 226-6880, Monday through Friday between 0900-1600.
